The pool is strictly for use by residents and their guests. The pool is open daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Daily hours are as follows: Monday-Friday: Noon to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
A wristband for the current year is required to access the pool. Wristbands are distributed in the spring prior to the pool opening after the Site Manager receives the unit’s updated Resident Information Form. Each unit receives two wristbands. Each person with a valid pool pass is permitted to bring two guests at any one time. This means, a unit with two valid passes could have up to six people at the pool at any time, two of which must be Stratford Place Condominium resident's. Only resident's of Stratford Place Condominium are authorized to use the community's pool passes.
Only electric grills are permitted on the property. Fairfax County fire code prohibits the operation or storage of any open-flame cooking device, to include gas and charcoal grills, on a balcony or patio, or within 15 feet of a condominium or apartment building.
Charcoal grills are available in the Fairfax County park behind Stratford Place and at the pool house (for resident use during pool season). Charcoal and grill utensils are not provided; residents are responsible for cleaning the grill after its use.
Since Ashby Lane and Wigmore Lane are privately owned by Stratford Place, the Association is responsible for snow removal. Each winter a bucket of ice melt is placed in the foyer of each building. Residents are strongly encouraged to liberally distribute it on icy steps and sidewalks in inclement weather. The buckets are refilled as needed throughout the winter by the snow removal contractor. If you find that the bucket in your building is too low and needs to be refilled, please contact the Site Manager. When snow accumulation reaches 2 inches, our snow removal contractor is dispatched to plow the roads and shovel the community sidewalks. Residents are responsible for clearing their vehicles of snow and for shoveling around their vehicles to safely leave the community.
Stratford Place residents also have access to amenities offered by the greater Kingstowne community. A valid facilities pass is needed to use the fitness centers and community pools, which are issued to Kingstowne residents only and are obtained by visiting the 2nd floor office in the Thompson Center.
There are two community pools – at the Snyder Center and South Center. Kingstowne offers two fully equipped fitness facilities at the Thompson Center and the Snyder Center. Various fee-based classes are offered, such as yoga, tennis and swimming. Three community centers are available for event rental. There are also various walking/biking trails in the community, and the Fairfax County Kingstowne Park is located adjacent to our community.
